Unfortunately not many doctors follow this principle and makes doctors like me very unpopular. Patients, I refuse to prescribe antiotics or steroid creams often turn around and ask me why other doctors are generously giving them the antibiotics. The dermatologist are another bunch of doctors who are thriving on using "Steroids". I am yet to come across a treatment they can be proud of introducing to cure a skin condition. I think indiscriminate use of steroids and low dose of antibiotics has been the major contributor helping bacteria to survive. I hope articles like this will educate and help doctors like me.
